Would you like to be a firefighter or ambulance technician (EMT or Driver) ?
The Department is always looking for motivated individuals to help serve the community. We are a 100% VOLUNTEER organization made up of the people who live in your community.
We are Neighbors Helping Neighbors!
Every day, Firefighters and Emergency Medical Technicians throughout our country are protecting lives and property. Our fire department responds to hundreds of emergency situations each year. On fire calls, our firefighters are prepared with personal protective equipment, communications equipment, thermal imaging equipment, etc. All of this equipment combined with the proper training allows our firefighters and EMT's to safely and effectively perform their duties in emergency situations. Not only will you contain fire situations and handle emergency medical calls, but you will also mitigate automobile accidents and utility emergencies. You may help in flooding situations, mass casualty incidents, etc. If you are someone who is interested in serving the Amagansett Fire Dept, who is interested in making new friends and lifetime bonds, or looking to make a meaningful difference in the community, then this job may be for you. Do you want to get involved and give back to your community?
Get to know a great, diverse group of people dedicated to the safety and well being of our community residents.
Classroom and hands on training are required to become a firefighter or ambulance technician. And all of the training is provided free.
What does it take to Become a Volunteer
